The Controlled Feeding & Threshing System (CFTS) starts with a unique 4-strand feed chain conveyor that feeds material to a 18-inch (457 mm) diameter front feeder that features helical vanes to provide a smooth, gentle, yet, positive engagement of the crop mass. The CFTS front feeder offers quieter operation and better feeding across a wide range of crops. The helical vane feeder provides the following three primary functions:

1. Accelerates the crop leaving the feed chain
2. Separates stones from the crop
3. Feeds the rotor 360°

The opposing vanes on the feeder supply an even flow of material to the rotor via a conical shaped rotor intake housing. A blended shape rotor transition intake provides a 360° rotor feed. This feature gently feeds the rotor to reduce crop damage while increasing rotor intake capacity.
